While you're allowed to grow your own marijuana plants in Arizona, there are certain restrictions.
First, you have to be a legal adult, 21 years or older. Under Arizona law, you're allowed to cultivate up to six cannabis plants at your residence, but those plants are only for personal use. That means if you have a bumper crop, you're not allowed to share or sell the excess with your friends.

Rules for Growin Your Plants
You also have to follow some rules for growing your plants. First, they've got to be grown in an enclosed area—that means somewhere like a room, closet, greenhouse, or shed—and the door has to be locked.
It also can't be visible to the public, and of course, all plants have to be out of reach of minors.
If you do have more than you can use, you're absolutely prohibited from selling the excess. Selling cannabis without a commercial license is illegal, and you can get into hot water if you're discovered.
If you do decide to grow your own, make sure you do thorough research into the laws and follow them to the letter. Growing cannabis is legal in Arizona as long as you do it properly.
