This Big Retailer Finally Abandoned the Mall at Sierra Vista

Why It Matters
Around 500 BCE, Greek philosopher Heraclitus observed, "Nothing is constant except change." That statement is as true today as it was centuries ago.
Take the internet, for example. Having the world at our fingertips has changed the way we do almost everything. Nothing has altered more in recent years than the way we shop. Sadly, this means the era of the large shopping mall is beginning to shrink into history.
Shopping at the Mall at Sierra Vista is Now Shopping Locally
A visit to the Mall at Sierra Vista brings this concept into sharp focus. Where once anchor stores like Sears, Victoria's Secret, and Payless Shoe Source ruled, these venues either stand empty or local mom-and-pop shops have taken them over.
The mall has become more of a neighborhood local business venue than a big retail destination.

No trip to the mall was ever complete without a stroll through Bath & Body Works. A cornucopia of olfactory delights, Bath & Body Works carries a broad range of scented lotions, soaps, candles, and other popular personal products.

When coupled with their amazing deals, this store made a trip to the retail center worth the trip. Take Bath & Bodywork's seasonal close-out deals, plus their frequent buy-three-get-one-free sales, and you could stock up on your favorite scents for a long time to come.
Last year, there were rumors the retail chain was planning to close 50 stores nationwide. Rumors swirled in Cochise County: was our store on the chopping block?
Bath & Body Works: A Better Location in Sierra Vista
Bath & Body Works decided to leave the mall, settling into their new location just as the holiday season was ramping up.
You can now find them in their new home in the same shopping center as Hobby Lobby, CAL-Ranch, and Ross. They're on the corner across from Hobby Lobby the Payless Shoe store once occupied.
I asked an employee how the new location was doing. "This location is great! Much better than the mall," he told me. "We get a lot more foot traffic since we opened in December, and the holidays were a busy time. We sold a lot of products."
If you'd like to visit the new location, find them in the Plaza Vista Shopping Center at 629 Highway 90, Suite 1.
