Healthy eating in Tucson will be a little bit easier once again. Sweet Tomatoes, the beloved buffet that had us all crying into our salads when it closed, is making a grand comeback!
According to the Sweet Tomatoes website, they'll make history when they reopen their Broadway location - the first Sweet Tomatoes location to ever reopen!

The beloved soup and salad buffet is re-opening at 6202 E. Broadway Blvd. in Tucson. It’s getting a second life, and moms with picky eaters, salad and soup aficionados, and health-conscious foodies are ready to rejoice!

Sweet Tomatoes in Tucson is Rising Once Again
So, what’s the scoop? In the midst of the YEAR THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED, many restaurants closed their doors. But after shutting down in 2020, Sweet Tomatoes is sprouting to life once again.
The doors are swinging open on April 1st, 2024. Despite the noteworthy date, this is no joke. The new owners, ST Three LLC, are bringing back that all-you-can-eat goodness because, let’s face it, we've been missing the fresh salads, delicious soups, and baked yummies.
Sweet Tomatoes Just Made a Major Change
The owners are bringing back the casual dining vibe but with a new twist. They’re going cashless, so bring your cards or get ready to tap your phone. According to the Sweet Tomatoes Facebook page, they'll be open daily from 11 am to 9 pm.
By all accounts, the Broadway location was the most popular Sweet Tomatoes in the state. Fans have been waiting for this moment since they shuttered the location, never dreaming we'd get this news.
I mean, who doesn’t want to dive into a mountain of crisp veggies and ladle up some steaming hot soup? It will be great to have Sweet Tomatoes as a dining option again!
