Mark your calendars, because you'll want to head out to Bisbee the first Saturday of each month for the Bisbee Alternative Therapies Clinic.

The Bisbee Alternative Therapies Clinic is not your average wellness gathering. Holistic practitioners from as far away as Tucson come together on the first Saturday of each month in the Presbyterian Annex, just a few steps away from the Copper Queen Hotel.

The nonprofit, 501c3 attracts volunteers with modalities from massage therapy, reiki, kinesiology, Deeksha blessings, reflexology and many other non-traditional therapies intended to support mind, body and spirit. Don't worry if you don't know what some of those therapies are. The volunteers are happy to explain all of it to you.

None of the therapies offered at the Alternative Therapies Clinic are intended to replace qualified medical care, and specific questions or concerns should always be addressed with qualified medical professionals.

As of now, Covid restrictions have been lifted, but attendees are welcome to wear a mask. The current hours for this month's clinic are 10am to 12pm. Please make an appointment in advance by emailing bisbee.alternative.therapies@gmail.com or through the Bisbee Alternative Therapies page on Facebook. The complete list of modalities being offered this month, plus the most current information, can be found there, too. Find the Presbyterian Annex at 24 Howell Ave in Bisbee

This clinic is free and open to the public, but donations are graciously accepted. Donations are used to support the clinic and the use of the venue.

 BC: Before Covid

The clinic used to occur every month with extended hours, running until about 2pm. With Covid, a lot of the things changed. The hours were shortened, and masks were required of both practitioners and attendees. Advance appointments were required and wherever possible, meetings were conducted over Zoom.

While the hours are still shorter and advance appointments are encouraged, most appointments have resumed face to face interaction and masks are now optional. Please see Facebook for the latest information.
