Every time a new restaurant opens in Cochise County, everyone gets excited. Chatter on the local social media sites begins to buzz, starting with, "What are they building?" and increasing to "When will it open??".

Then, the crushing weight of the local crowds descend on the barely prepared staff as everyone scrambles to try the latest thing.

"The Service Here is TERRIBLE" -All the Social Media Food Critics

That's when the bitter reviews start.

"The service is terrible!!" "The food was cold!" "We're never going back to that terrible restaurant!!!!!!"

Um. Really?

Why do we treat that brand-new baby restaurant—probably started by a passionate mom-and-pop team who poured their dreams and (likely) their life savings into a new eatery—like THAT?

Yet, we continue to accept the same terrible service from a fast-food restaurant over and over again.

Yeah, we rant, and we rave about the awful food from the golden disaster when we suffer forgotten items and miserable customer service. Yet, we return and hand over our hard-earned money again and again.

The Second Worst Rated Fast Food in America is in Arizona

With almost 300 locations in our state, you'd think this fast-food restaurant would have every opportunity to provide fantastic food and stellar customer service. When you're that big, though, you're golden. They can (and do) treat their customers like a disposable commodity. And they're not alone.

Delish.com compiled a list of fast-food restaurants across the land with the worst customer reviews. Using results from CouponBirds.com, which looked at over 160,000 Google customer reviews, they discovered Arizona has locations for three of the ten worst fast-food chains in America.

Sonic is on the customer-reviewed worst list at number six, followed by Popeye's at number five.

The good news is we don't have any locations for the restaurant that customers universally panned. You'd have to leave our state to find  Taco John's, with the dubious award for number one worst-rated fast-food restaurant on this list.

This bumps the second-worst-rated national chain into the number-one spot in Arizona: McDonald's.

Maybe we have it backward. Instead of panning the new mom-and-pop restaurant, it's time to get out of the drive-thru and give them a second chance.

It's money well-spent, and even if everything isn't perfect, you're voting with your dollars. Unlike the other restaurants on this list, they will thank you.
