When I was a kid, I was obsessed with horses. When I was 12, I tried to talk my mom and dad into converting the garage into a barn so my dream horse could live there. It was the perfect plan, until my parents broke my heart with two words: zoning regulations.

I didn't really consider the fact that our other neighbors didn't have horses. The suburbs just were not the place to live out my horse-dreams. If I'd had access to a place like Horsen Around Rescue, it could have scratched that itch and helped out, too.

What is Horsen' Around Rescue?

Whether you live in a place where you can have horses or not, this is your chance to see horses and this amazing foundation up close.

According to the Horse’n Around Rescue Ranch and Foundation website, they're a "501(c)(3) nonprofit organization." Their sole purpose is to rescue equines, which include horses, miniature horses, and donkeys. They dedicate their mission to restoring their health, encouraging their wellness, and providing a natural environment where horses are nurtured and cared for until they can be adopted into forever homes.

It's a place where "horses can be horses."

Who Should Visit Horsen' Around Rescue?

You can take your family to Hereford this weekend and see the ranch for yourself. Here's a short list of people who should visit the ranch:

When is the Fundraiser for Horsen' Around Rescue?

On Saturday, October 18th, Horsen Around Rescue is hosting a special fundraiser event, and you're invited.

Horsen' Around is currently caring for over 30 rescued horses. They're hoping to find homes for as many as possible and to continue caring for those who remain at the ranch. With your help, Horsen' Around can continue to provide these beautiful animals with food, medical care, and a safe, loving environment where they can truly thrive.

Not only will you and your family have the opportunity to meet the horses, but you can also participate in the raffle. The proceeds support the ranch.
