The Cochise County Master Gardeners present the Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop. Mark your calendar for Friday February 10, 1:30 - 4:00pm at the UA Sierra Vista, Public Meeting Room in Groth Hall. Find the UASV campus at 1140 N Colombo, Sierra Vista right behind Cochise College.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
You'll learn the importance and necessity of pruning trees, plus how to select the best and highest quality fruit trees for our desert. Whether you're looking to enhance your property or start a small orchard, this informative workshop is a great place to start.
Discover proper planting procedures for bare root and container trees, plus how much to water and when to fertilize. There will also be a discussion on the best times and methods for pruning fruit trees for the greatest health and productivity; how to head off and deal with common pests and diseases, plus the use and care of pruning tools.
