Target Confirms Closure of All Arizona Stores for 2 Days
Don't Wait Until the "Last Minute" to Shop!
The words "last minute" have been attached to holiday shopping for decades now. Perhaps that's the reason stores seem to be rolling the season out earlier and earlier every year.
If you noticed corporate advertising for The Holidays seemed to begin in early October this year, it's not your imagination. With prices rising and the economy in dire straits, advertisers and retailers are in a panic, worried shoppers won't shell out for the season as in years past.
In spite of what we might perceive as retailers' quaking desperation, coupled with the increased tendency for shoppers to order online rather than in person, one large retailer has decided to close its doors on two of the season's biggest holidays.

"To Allow Employees to Spend the Holiday with Their Loved Ones"
For years, retailers have remained open during Thanksgiving and Christmas, hoping to catch last-minute shoppers who need to pick up one or two items they forgot to grab before the holiday.
How times have changed! Target announced it will close its doors in Arizona for two days this year.
The Two Days Target Stores Will Be Closed in Arizona
Target stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day this year. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Target first decided to close to minimize crowds and allow employees to spend the holiday with their loved ones. The response was so positive that Target decided to keep this tradition going.

Target stores will also be closed on Christmas Day, December 25. Most locations will reopen at their regular hours on December 26. Again, they want to give them a chance to spend time with family and friends without the stress of last-minute shoppers.
If you forget to pick up the stuffing for Thanksgiving dinner this year, you'll have to get it somewhere else because Arizona Target stores will be closed. Target will have extended shopping hours before and after the holidays.
