Exciting News! Sprout's Farmers Market Coming to Cochise County

I've asked this question, or some variation, on the socials a half dozen times over the years: "What business do you think Cochise County needs?"

It seems we get the same answers. Here's the short list:

A Roller Rink
Chik Fil-A or In-N-Out
Sprout's Farmers Markets or Trader Joe's
Red Lobster

That last one has a special place in local Sierra Vista lore, and long-time locals know the reason we'll never get one goes far beyond Red Lobster's recent financial troubles.

The New Market Coming to Sierra Vista

But I digress. The good news is that one of our dreams is finally coming true. Sprouts Farmers Market announced it will build a brand-new store in Sierra Vista.

The new Sprouts will be part of the Tribute Plaza at 4001 E Buffalo Soldier Trail. Tribute Plaza is currently in the planning stages, a planned retail center on the corner of Buffalo Soldier Trail and Highway 92, near the new American Leadership Academy (ALA) charter school.

There's no word yet on other stores or businesses joining the new shopping center.

Construction Timeline: When Will Sprouts Open in Sierra Vista?

The new 23,225-square-foot store is expected to open in 2027. The Sierra Vista location hopes to hire around 100 employees.

If you've ever shopped at a Sprouts Farmers Market in Tucson or another area of the state, you may be getting as excited as I am.

The store has a wide selection of natural and organic foods at affordable prices. They also have natural body care and household items that are difficult to find in Cochise County. I'm looking forward to a fresh, natural option in a local shopping experience.
