Major Clothing Retailer Closing All Remaining Locations in Arizona
One more retailer has announced bankruptcy, and they're planning to close all remaining Arizona locations.
It's hard to pin the bankruptcy and closure of this once mighty chain store on a single cause.
Was it the steady shift away from brick-and-mortar stores in favor of online retailers? Could the downsizing and closure of malls across the United States be a factor? Or was it the pandemic that provided the final nail in the coffin for this clothing chain?

rue21: The Lastest Casualty of the Pandemic
According to US News, rue21 is just the latest in a string of retail closures since the end of the pandemic shutdown. While many of these businesses were ailing before the lockdown, the global shutdown was the end of the road for them.
Bed Bath & Beyond, J.Crew, JCPenney, and Hertz were a few of the corporations that didn't make it. While the pandemic isn't the total cause of these retailers' demise, the shutdown pushed them toward their last gasp.
