Popular Fast Food Chain Closing 400 Locations. How Many Will Close in Arizona?
With the economy struggling on all sides, from supply chain issues to price increases and labor shortages, it seems no part of the economy has been left untouched. Even fast-food sectors are planning to shrink their brick-and-mortar locations.
Fast Food Chain to Close Locations Worldwide
The world's second-largest fast-food chain announced it will be shuttering 400 locations worldwide by the end of this year.

This year alone, several Burger King franchises have filed for bankruptcy, and around 120 outlets have already closed this year.
History of Burger King
According to Wikipedia.org, Burger King is a multinational fast-food chain. Its headquarters are in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It's even found in Australia, where it's known as Hungry Jacks.
Burger King was founded in 1953 as Insta-Burger in Jacksonville, Florida. The founders were inspired by a visit to McDonald's restaurant in San Bernardino, California. They returned to Florida and "purchased the rights to two pieces of equipment called "Insta-machines", and opened their first restaurants shortly afterward.
How Many Arizona Burger King Restaurants Slated to Close?
It's not entirely clear if Burger King restaurants in Arizona are on the chopping block, or how many will close.
AZCentral.com reports that according to Burger King's CEO, the company plans to work with smaller franchisees, "in an effort to improve the overall health of the company."
Burger King hasn't yet released a list of locations they plan to close, or if any 100 statewide locations in Arizona are slated to be closed by year's end.
