Love Yoga? Puppy Yoga is Coming to Cochise County
In Arizona and America, really, it seems like we're always blending two disparate elements to make something new.
Take yoga, for example. I've been on a yoga quest for some time, and I'm always interested in trying new ways to stretch.
Personally, I've explored many different styles of yoga. Vinyasa Flow is a gentle variety that gets you moving. Yin Yoga focuses more on getting into a shape than holding the pose for a period of time. It's slow-moving and the power of this flavor of Yoga lies in the mind, as the body releases tension.

Hot Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Bikram Yoga, and many other styles are gaining popularity. There's one type of yoga I'm excited to try, and I may just get the opportunity.
Puppy Yoga: Blending Yoga and Cuteness
I have a friend who runs a ranch, but like me, she's also a big fan of yoga. When the Goat Yoga craze was sweeping Arizona, we were excited to try it out.
Since goats are keen to jump on nearly anything they perceive as a flat surface, Kim's pygmy goats were eager to participate in our antics. Goats are cute, but their hooves can be a little rough on your downward dog, which is why I jumped on this upcoming event!
The Nancy J Brua Animal Care Center is partnering with a local organization called A Little Bit of Kindness. Together, they'll offer the very first Puppy Yoga class in Cochise County.
I spoke to Frankie from A Little Bit of Kindness, and she said, "Arleen from the shelter will bring puppies if they're available, and if not, she'll bring some calm, older dogs for a day of yoga and fun."
How You Can Be Part of Puppy Yoga in Sierra Vista
Puppy Yoga will be happening on Saturday April 20th at three different times: 8:30 to 9am, 9:10 to 9:40am, and 10 to 10:30am.
The cost is only $10, and you can reserve your spot on their website. If this is successful, the center hopes to offer this event in the future.
