Follow the Animal Care Center Mobile Trailer Through Sierra Vista
The Sierra Vista Farmers Market is a highlight of our week in Sierra Vista. With year-round good weather and a long growing season, the Sierra Vista Farmers Market meets almost every Thursday of the year from 10am to 2 pm in Veterans Park.
Among the many vendors, artisans, farmers and outreach organizations, you can often find representatives from Animal Care and Control and the Nancy J Brua Animal Care center in attendance.
The Mobile Animal Trailer
They show up with their mobile trailer - a wonderful, multipurpose gift from the Friends of the Sierra Vista Animal Shelter.
The modern trailer is used as a mobile veterinarian clinic at times, and frequently to bring animals from the shelter to outreach events. The trailer is heated and cooled allowing animal care workers to keep animals warm or cool, safely, depending on the temperature.
Adopt Today
This week, the Nancy J Brua Animal Care Center is very close to capacity. More pets are being surrendered to the shelter than adopted at this time. If you're looking for a forever pet, please consider adopting from the Nancy J Brua Animal Care Center.
All pet adoptions include a spay or neuter, a health check, up-to-date vaccinations and rabies shots, plus a microchip. When you consider the cost of a spay or neuter by itself can be well over $300, the low adoption fees are a bargain.
Adoption Fees
Currently, the cost of adopting a cat or a ferret is only $50; dog adoptions are $75 and other small animals are only $5.
Follow That Trailer!
Be sure to follow the trailer through town! There are several opportunities coming up. On April 20th, May 11th and 25th, find the trailer at the Sierra Vista Famers Market from 10am to 2pm.
Join them for Paws and Coffee at Prickly's Cafe on Highway 92. And don't miss the big event as the Celebrate Animals in Veterans Park on April 29th.
