For years, I'd dreamed of moving to Arizona. Much of my family had lived in the Grand Canyon State, and the way they described the beautiful swaths of desert and mountains that touched the sky captivated me like nothing else.

Recently, U-Haul released their trends for where people have been moving to. Arizona sees a significantly lower amount of migration compared to the rest of the United States, but that doesn't mean people are leaving at all.

Buy and large, former Arizona residents still prefer the west coast. Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Denver, Salt Lake City, and Seattle are the top-5 cities that Arizonans are landing when they leave the Grand Canyon State. Phoenix is one of the largest growing cities in America, and all those newcomers have to come from somewhere, but where? According to the same market trends, the west coast tends to stay on the west coast.

The number one state bringing in new Arizonans is California, which we've seen becoming more and more prevalent. Texas, Colorado, Nevada, and Washington State round out the top five, while Utah, New Mexico, Oregon, Illinois, and Florida round out the top 10. Most make sense, again, staying from the West Coast, while Floridians probably want to stay in warmer climates, and Illinois residents probably like the slower pace of life, and a change from those brutal midwestern winters.
