I've seen a lot of interesting things since I moved to Arizona, but I don't think I've seen anything quite like this.

Now, I know there are a number of websites dedicated to the strange and unusual things and events other people have discovered in Walmarts across the nation, but I don't think I've ever noticed anyone who posted something like this.

Bargain DVDs and an Out of Movie Experience

I was looking through the bargain DVD bin at Walmart a while back, trying to figure out if the 2007 movie remake 3:10 to Yuma was actually filmed in Arizona.

I already had cowboys on the brain and as was trying to navigate IMDB.com to look this up, so I set aside the pile of DVDs I had already decided were possible purchases (I'm old school, okay?!).

Suddenly, I looked up. Was I seeing a ghost? Did someone from the set of Yellowstone wander a little too far south?

I blinked and realized the person walking my direction was, in fact, an actual, authentic, real-life, 100% cowboy. Complete with sidearm, boots and leather chaps.

He caught me staring but didn't seem to be disturbed by my borderline rudeness. As he passed me by, he nodded his head almost imperceptibly. Then he did something I couldn't quite believe.

As he was passing me, the cowboy actually tipped his hat at me.

"Ma'am," he said, politely acknowledging me. Just like a gentleman cowboy! And then he kept walking. I stood there, speechless.

Close Your Mouth, You're Catching Flies

Now, I've been to my fair share of rodeos, and I've seen more than one Tombstone gunfight reenactment, but this was a new one on me. A real live cowboy ambling down the aisles right there in our Sierra Vista Walmart!
