Working for a radio station always prompts the question, 'So, what kind of music do you like?' Well, obviously, I'm a fan of the music we play, but when I'm relaxing and enjoying downtime, my favorite go-to is jazz.
The Tucson Jazz Festival Returns
The only thing I love more than listening to my jazz albums is seeing and experiencing live jazz sessions. The annual Tucson Jazz Festival is back, and they have an amazing lineup this year.

The festival takes place over the course of a week, January 17-25. If you're a fan of live jazz music this is the perfect experience for seasoned jazz enthusiasts or anyone dipping their toe into the genre for the first time.

Attending the Tucson Jazz Festival: Tickets
Since the event is scheduled over the course of a week, attendees can take in as much or as little as they like.
Ticket prices vary depending on the event and venue; general admission tickets start at around $20. They're offering VIP packages if you want to splurge on a particular show. If you want to catch multiple shows, consider getting a pass.

The Venues: Where Will the Jazz Festival Be Held?
The festival will be hosted at several iconic venues across downtown Tucson. Scheduled performances will be held at the Century Room at Hotel Congress, The Lounge at ATC, Rialto Theatre, AC Hotel Tucson Downtown, The Grand Tucson, Corbett's, and Fox Tucson Theatre.
Each venue has a unique vibe and experience. Check the schedule and plan your visit accordingly.
Jazz Festival: The Speakeasy Experience
One of the coolest additions this year is the immersive speakeasy experience. It's happening at Corbett's basement on January 20. Listeners will be surrounded by video screens playing art and films - all while enjoying smooth jazz.
The festival also features special events like Sunday brunch with Matthew Whitaker at the Grand Tucson and TJF talks with jazz legends like Delfeayo Marsalis and Paquito D’Rivera at the AC Hotel Tucson Downtown. Plus, a whole lot more.
