
A Change in the Weather Coming to Cochise County
Winter is finally coming to Southeastern Arizona. Well, kind of. We're expecting a little more rain to roll into our area, and even though temperatures are taking a little dip, the chance for snow is still just a dream.
Cooler Weather Rolling Into Cochise County
Cochise County is finally seeing a small shift into cooler weather, according to the National Weather Service. The temperature is falling, and clouds are beginning to build up across the region.
Most of our weather has been unseasonably warm this Winter, reminiscent of Spring with a few Summer-like days tossed in.

The sunny, mild days are now settling into the mid‑60s to upper‑50s by late week, with overnight lows dropping into the 30s and 40s. The change arrives as a series of systems moves through southeastern Arizona, bringing a welcome break from the warmer pattern.

Rain Chances On The Rise
Showers will begin to creep back into the forecast toward the end of the week. Light rain becomes more likely by Friday night into Saturday, with the highest chances coming our way on Friday night.

The chance of precipitation will climb into the 30–45% range. Some areas in the county may see a few brief thunderstorms, but it'll most likely hit the higher elevations. The total rainfall won’t be too impressive, but the moisture will be enough to give us a fresh, rain‑washed feel.
Overall, it'll be a nice way to break up the mono-season we've been experiencing since late Fall and help to recharge our parched aquifers, at least a little bit.
