I suppose every place has quirks. For example, I have a friend from Wisconsin who can discuss the diet and conditions of dairy cows at length, based on some subtle flavor in cheese that I have no ability to detect.

And here I thought cheddar and provolone were exotic. In her estimation, I am a rank amateur. On the other hand, I can predict when the rain will begin within a fifteen-minute window. The air just feels like rain and humidity. In Wisconsin, the air feels that way all the time. Not so much in Arizona.
