1. Coolidge

The small city of Coolidge is located about 50 miles southeast of Phoenix. The growing but still small population is approximately 13,000.

On average, rent for a one-bedroom apartment in Coolidge is about $1,118 per month. This figure is significantly below the state and national averages.

If you're considering purchasing a new home, you'll be pleased with this information. The cost-to-income ratio for a home is also very low, at 2.30. So, buying a house in Coolidge is also affordable.

Coolidge is rich in history and culture. It's home to the Casa Grande Ruins National Monument, which preserves the remains of an ancient Native American civilization.

3. Litchfield Park

Phoenix suburb Litchfield Park has a population of about 6,000. The average rent for a one-bedroom apartment runs around $1,152.

While the price tag is slightly higher than in Apache Junction or Coolidge, it is still a very reasonable place to live compared to other cities in Arizona. The home price-to-income ratio is 3.38, which is moderate but not too high.
