Luckily, the summer monsoon brought some relief from the heat. As fall arrives, we can finally enjoy cooler mornings. Arizona’s seasons are unique, and autumn is no different.

I don’t want to brag (or get on the radar of folks who don’t live here and might be thinking about moving), but fall in Arizona is just better. First, it’s longer than most places. I know, we put the “What in the name of —-???!!” in our Summer heat. But in most parts of the state, it doesn’t really last long. Phoenix and Yuma probably have 4,298 words for “hot,” but for most of us, if you survive June, you’ve got it made.

After the summer heat, the arrival of cooler temperatures feels like a reward, and the state comes alive again. Pumpkin patches open, outdoor activities and festivals resume, and we’re ready to go outside again.
