
Cochise County Charities Invited to Apply for 2026 Sheriff’s Charity Ride Funding

Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Prepares for 14th Annual Charity Ride
The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office is gearing up for the 14th Annual Sheriff’s Charity Ride, which will take place on November 7, 2026. They're currently accepting applications from local charities that would like to be part of this meaningful event.
Each year, this event draws even more participants and supporters. First launched in 2012 in partnership with American Southwest Credit Union (ASCU), the Charity Ride was created to give back to communities across Cochise County. Over the years, this event has made a significant impact, providing hundreds of thousands of dollars to local nonprofit organizations.

Who Can Apply
Local Cochise County-focused charities are invited to apply, provided they meet these key requirements:
To be considered, your organization must:
- Hold 501(c)(3) status
- Be in good standing with the IRS
- Primarily serve residents of Cochise County

Application Deadline and Requirements
To be considered, completed applications must be submitted by June 15, 2026. Unfortunately, late applications will not be accepted.
Applicants will need to provide:
- A completed beneficiary application
- Photo identification
- A copy of the organization’s IRS determination letter
- Any additional supporting documentation
How to Apply
Getting started is simple. Applications can be requested by emailing jdavidson@cochise.az.gov or by calling (520) 432-9575. They are also available online at cochise.az.gov/sheriff or Get Your Application Here.
Once completed, applications may be scanned and emailed or sent by regular mail through the USPS. Mail or drop off your application at: Charity Ride Committee, 205 N. Judd Dr., Community Outreach Unit, Bisbee, AZ 85603
Don't forget: the original application must include the organization’s information and signature.
Important Guidelines to Keep in Mind
There are a few additional guidelines applicants should be aware of:
- Funds must be used locally within Cochise County
- Organizations cannot receive awards in back-to-back calendar years
- All applications are kept confidential
- Submission of an application does not guarantee funding
