Do You Agree? The Most Unpopular Opinions About Arizona
The Most Unpopular Opinions About Arizona - By Arizonans
It can really sting when someone shares an opinion about something you care about. But what if you have opinions on something near and dear to you?
It's kind of like that weird Uncle we all have. Everyone in the family knows he's a bit off. Everyone in the complains about him, but he's OUR uncle. We're entitled to say what we like. So we asked Arizonans their opinion about Arizona.
We asked: What are your most unpopular opinions about Arizona?
We weren't looking for a fight. We asked everyone to reply with AGREE or DISAGREE only!
Some of the Unpopular Opinions about Arizona
It's Soooo HOT!
A lot of the answers covered things like the bugs or the weather. For example, Aaron chimed in with:
It's nearly October, the harvest season before the dead of winter.
And it's still *$#! 90 degrees out!
Kate said,
It's Hot EVERYWHERE! Always!
Sean made a valid point with this observation:
Dry heat + wind = convection oven
Most users just agreed with this statement. The heat really does feel like opening an oven door some days.
We Don't Like Snowbirds and Not All Retirees
As is often the case, a few users mentioned the Arizona Transplants - both temporary and permanent.
Josh's "unpopular opinion" relates to the number of people who come to Arizona to retire. He shared:
The aging population is doing too little to encourage the next generation of residents...We need to invest in young people. We can’t take our money or our real estate with us when we go.
Kelly isn't a fan of Snowbirds, either. She stated:
Snowbirds cause traffic jams.
My two favorite opinions came closer to the end of our informal survey. Elizabeth said she feels as though she's allergic to Arizona. I'm not sure if she was talking about Arizona in general, or the seasonal allergies specifically.
And finally, Talya said,
Mosquitoes are not that bad?
Since we don't have an abundance of mosquitoes in Arizona, compared to states that get more rain, I'm not sure if she's thinking about moving to another place and putting up with the added bug bites, or if she thinks the low volume of biting pests in our state is a decent trade-off.
