Get Ready To Mask Up Again Arizona
Remember going to the store in mid-2020? Social distancing your way through isles, wearing masks that just seemed to get bigger and bulkier, and treating someone who coughs in public like they're patent zero in a zombie film.
That's all finally behind us, or so we thought. Slowly but surely, masking has made its way back to Arizona.
Northern AZ Mask Mandates
While the Covid pandemic may have ended, the virus itself is still out there and causing problems. cases of the disease have been spiking across Arizona in the past few months. 2,632 cases were reported for the week of July 7th, which is a 72% decrease from the stats of the last three years. Objectively, a very good thing.
Cases aren't stopping though, and The Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation in Northern Arizona is taking their precautions. On July 19th, TCRHCC began a mandatory enforcement of masks in their hospitals in Tuba City, Flagstaff, and LeChee.

Don't Panic!
Luckily, its unlikely that masking in public is going to make a return any time soon. These were precautions put in place to ensure the safety of hospital patients, who may be immunocompromised by the virus.
The mandate will be reevaluated after 2 weeks, and will only be discontinued if Covid rates fall below the CDC threshold. While this may be a drag for many hospital goers, the staff want to ensure that their patents are the safest and healthiest they can be. This policy is in place to protect the most vulnerable patients, and by following it we can ensure we'll never have to deal with this again.
