Arizona’s Gun Laws Are The Worst In America
America was born on resistance. We fought against the imperialist British empire for our freedom, and built a country based on ideals that our founding fathers held.
Obviously, the right to own weapons became a major point, leading to the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution promising "the right to bear arms".
Since then, however, gun laws have become America's number one issue, and Arizona hasn't exactly been handling it well.
Arizona Receives Failing Grade
Gun laws differ from state to state, so in order to keep everything in order The Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence creates yearly reports that grades states based on their firearm laws and safety.

How Do we Fix This?
The weirdest part of all of this, is that Arizona seems to have much more liberal gun laws than many other states. Despite this, Gifford has created a list of ways to help bring the grade up, and some are just plain confusing.
In order to combat senseless gun violence in Arizona, the Giffords Center reccommends:
- Requiring safe storage of any and all firearms
- Strengthening Domestic Violence laws
- Passing an extreme risk protection order law
- Repeal "Stand Your Ground"
- Invest in community violence intervention programs
Will these help Arizona's score rise, or will they just be more meaningless regulations on an already heavily regulated product?
