The 2024 Paris Olympics have finally come to a close. This was one of the most fun Olympic Games we've seen in years, and the United States, as usual, came out on top.

This was in no small part due to the efforts of Arizona's Olympians, who combined for four medals across the games.

Let's meet the winners.

The first medalist was skater Jagger Eaton, of Mesa. This was Jagger's second Olympics, previously taking home the bronze at the 2020 (or technically 2021) Tokyo games. Jagger beat his personal best in 2024, taking home the silver medal in the Men's Street event. He appeared to have the gold before stumbling on his last trick, losing by a margin of 0.1. If the past has told us anything, it's that Jagger will be back in 2028 with a vengeance, and eyes on the gold.

Brady Ellison-Archery

Arizona's next medalist is Brady Ellison, an Archer from Globe, Arizona. Brady is no stranger to the Olympic Games, performing as far back as the 2008 Beijing games. His first medal came in 2012, when he won a silver. He backed that up with a silver and bronze at the 2016 Rio Games, and followed that with another Silver and Bronze combo in 2024. He won the bronze with the Mixed Team, and the silver in Men's Individuals. he narrowly avoided the gold in the Individual tiebreaker, as his bullseye being slightly more off than his competitors.

Jade Carey-Gymnastics

Lastly, introducing Arizona's sole gold winner: Jade Carey, of Phoenix. Jade was a part of the dominant Team USA gymnastics program, and performed accordingly. She brought home the bronze in women's vault, and although she was hoping for gold, she got her wish in the women's team event, as Team USA came away with a commanding gold win.
