The Arizona Snowbowl ski resort near Flagstaff reported its first snowfall of the year on August 31st, according to Powder.com. The light dusting of snow was a surprise, especially considering most of Arizona was still experiencing brutally hot temperatures.
The folks at the Snowbowl ski resort hope this is a sign that this will be a really good year on the slopes, with just enough fresh powder to keep the season going.
