How to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Without Leaving Arizona
- You don't have to leave Arizona to celebrate St. Patrick's Day
- There are fun events celebrating Irish culture
Arizona loves to celebrate holidays and events. You can't miss the Cinco de Mayo fun or El Dia de Los Muertos. We do that stuff very well here.
We're all about the desert southwest, but don't go thinking we're not just as raucous and fun on St. Paddy's Day.
Picture this: folks decked out in green, parades, and music that’ll make you wanna dance. No, you don't have to book a flight to Cork or head to the Big Apple. We've got plenty of shenanigans right here in Arizona.
St. Patrick's Day: Celebrate Across Arizona
Do the party up right at Tell Mama bar on Sierra Vista's West End, located at 325 W Fry Blvd. They're having a weekend-long party with live music and hand-crafted cocktails - a step beyond "green beer"! Check out the fun Friday through St. Patrick's Day on Sunday. They're even raising money for a local charity!
Phoenix throws a big parade, and they'll even have bagpipes! Tucson’s got a festival perfect for the whole family.
Looking for a chill spot? Hit up Clancy’s Pub in Scottsdale or Seamus McCaffrey’s in Phoenix. They'll be celebrating with plenty of fun to go around.
Green Water and Irish Culture in Arizona
Want to see green water but don't have time or funds to travel all the way to Chicago? Check out the Fountain Hills’ green fountain show – fun here in Arizona, without that Windy City chill to contend with. Although it is fun to watch it come together, as ABC 7 Chicago shows us via YouTube:
The Irish Cultural Center in Phoenix is the go-to for a deep dive into Irish culture. Don't miss the St. Patrick's Day Parade and Faire, then St. Patrick’s Day Events and Ceili Dancing at The Great Hall. You'll need tickets, so visit the website for complete information.
Even in Arizona, St. Patrick's Day is more than just a day to honor St. Patrick. It's how Arizonans come together to celebrate community, regardless of their heritage.
