Who Might Get A Check?

According to The Hill, President Donald Trump is again proposing a “tariff dividend”, a payment that would go to lower‑ and middle‑income Americans.

He's still in the talking stages, so there are no official eligibility rules yet.

In multiple interviews, including one with The New York Times, Trump said the payments would be funded by what he calls “substantial” tariff revenue. Government agencies haven't supplied any formal guidance, and Congress has not approved any program.

How Much Money Could Arizona Families Get?

Trump keeps floating the idea of around $2,000 per person. He’s calling it a rebate or a dividend from the tariff revenue. He claims the government has collected “trillions," even though that amount is not supported by published federal revenue data.

When Could Arizonans Expect A Check?

This part is fuzzy. Said another way, don't hold your breath just yet. Trump has said the payments could arrive “toward the end of the year” or “sometime in 2026,” depending on who he's talking to.

There is no official schedule, no Treasury guidance, and no confirmed legal authority for issuing the checks without Congress. There's a lot that would need to happen before we get that boost to our checking account.
