Price Gouging at Major Retailers Across Arizona
In the wake of the global pandemic and the spike in inflation, many corporations saw the opportunity to capitalize on the hype of shortages and rising costs by raising the prices of goods.
According to the New York Times, in the past, companies kept prices low in order to pick up extra market share. These days, they're blaming inflation and using it as an excuse to raise prices and increase profits.

Arizona Target Stores' Plan to Lower Prices
Target stores in Arizona and across the nation are working to reverse the trend. Target announced that it would lower prices on about 5,000 items, and they're targeting essential items like bread, fruit, vegetables, milk, and meat.

They've already begun cutting prices on 1,500 items and will continue price cuts throughout the summer in order to support consumers.
